Automotive Service Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a Service Technician to add to our service team. Our shop runs on 4 ten hour shifts with rotating days off so you get multiple 3 and 4 day weekends. You would have to rotate in for a Saturday shift (8-2) once every 5-6 weeks. This position is for someone who may not have the GM training history but has good all around mechanical skills and would like to progress his/her career to eventually become a GM Certified Technician. Experience with other brand is welcomed. We look forward to finding the right person to add to our great service team.

Experienced Automotive Technician / Automotive Mechanics Responsibilities: Able to diagnose and repair GM automotive systems including engines, steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, air conditioning, etc

  • Completes service and repair assignments efficiently, safely and correct, to pass quality inspections set forth by dealership and GM's quality standards
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate directly with service advisors and foreman regarding the status of the service work
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques

Experienced Automotive Technician / Automotive Mechanics Qualifications: Master Certified or 2+ years automotive technician / mechanic experience Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service Working knowledge of shop equipment (such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)

  • Strong Automotive knowledge
  • Maintains sufficient personally-owned tools in good working order
  • Valid Driver's License

We are a dealership located in St. albans Vermont

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
